In-Field Laser Alignment

In-Field Laser Alignment

Precision alignment is vital in ensuring proper life of industrial components. For years, alignments were carried out with dial indicators and straight edges. Today’s technologies feature precision lasers which mitigate sag of the mounting brackets for mechanical instruments and inherent human measurement errors. Communication with a digital unit also allow us to monitor the alignment continuously, which gives us a live display allowing indications of how much a machine needs to be moved, which direction and when a precision alignment has been reached.

Our systems include functionality that effects a precise measurement of frame distortion and an active display to mitigate soft foot.

For mechanical systems with multiple shafts, Jay technicians have provisions for entering multiple shafts to be analyzed as one alignment algorithm. Reports can be generated detailing all alignment information.

Our field alignment technicians use Ludeca TolChek® software to determine alignment condition for shafts, motors, gearboxes and many other industrial plant applications. Parameters are available to enter targets and thermal growth. Multipoint mode -at selected positions InfiniRange® extends measurement capabilities and includes Vertical machine alignment.

Traditional dial indicator service is available and laser alignments as a service whenever a new or spare is installed or is out of alignment specification utilizing Ludeca Optilign laser alignment equipment.
