What school did you graduate from? What was your degree in?
I graduated from University of Alabama in 2021 with a degree in finance and minor in international business. After completing school at Alabama, I did another post-grad year of school at the University of Denver. I graduated from there in 2022 with a degree in Business Analytics.
What is your favorite sports team?
Alabama. Football basketball, baseball…etc. All University of Alabama teams. Professionally I just watch the former Alabama players in both the NFL and NBA.
Do you have any pets?
Yes. I have a 2-year-old Brittney spaniel named Bruner. She is named after a former Alabama basketball player. I rescued her from a shelter in Mississippi the summer before my senior year at Alabama and she has really affected my life for the better.
What are some of your hobbies?
Fishing, Hunting, Golf, coaching 3rd grade football, working on the farm and just being outdoors.
What is your favorite food?
I really love seafood. Shrimp, snapper, cobia and scallops are some of my favorites. It’s also hard to beat a good country meal like hamburger steak with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cornbread.
Who’s your personal hero?
I would say my personal hero is my grandmother, Gran. When I was a kid, my brother and I would spend a month during the summer with her at her house in Tennessee. I have some of my best memories there. She would take me fishing at the local pond at that’s really where I started to love the outdoors. Along with that, she taught me so much about how to treat every the same no matter the circumstance and how giving back is more rewarding than receiving. Her positive outlook on everyday life no matter the circumstance was really influential in my childhood.
I am afraid of:
Snakes. I have had many encounters with them while turkey hunting and they have never become less horrifying.
I can’t live without:
I couldn’t live without the ability to escape the busy everyday life by enjoying the outdoors through fishing and hunting. It has provided me with such a great way to reflect on life and relationships while being able to do what I love.
