JAY INDUSTRIAL REPAIR, INC. in Jacksonville, FL has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Conventional/Manual Machinist to join our team. This candidate must be able to perform all machine operations in the repair shop. We offer a wide range of services from reverse engineering and manufacturing of component parts to turn-key turbine generator overhauls.
Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Able to run all manual machines in the shop efficiently.
- Able to machine parts from prints and fabricate from samples.
- Observe and adhere to Jay Industrial Repair safety procedures
- Maintain Jay Industrial Repair quality standards
- Inspect parts to develop mechanical repair work-scope
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years manual machining experience.
- Knowledge/experience in some or all the following equipment: (Horizontal Lathe, Bridgeport type milling machine, Horizontal Boring Mill, Surface Grinder, Vertical Turret Lathe, and Overhead Crane).
- Ability to work well with others & independently.
- Work well under pressure.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Must provide basic machinist hand tools.
