Job Summary: Provide electro-mechanical repair services for industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes, and related equipment.

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Job Responsibilities:

• Be able to disassemble/troubleshoot AC/DC motors
• Develop a cause of failure and steps needed for repair
• Develop detailed list of parts needed for repair
• Test motors, test AC/DC brake assemblies
• Test run motors and perform basic vibration analysis
• Balance rotors and fans
• Operate burn off and bake ovens
• Uphold the high quality standards of Jay Industrial Repair
• Above all else, be safety conscious

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a mechanic, skilled in assembly and disassembly of AC/DC Electric motors
• Significant mechanical knowledge and/or experience
• Highly motivated self-performer with good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic computer skills
• Computer skills needed for windows-based software
