Job Summary: Provide electro-mechanical repair services for industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes, and related equipment.
Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Job Responsibilities:
- Observe and adhere to Jay Industrial Repair safety procedures.
- Maintain Jay Industrial Repair quality standards
- Test equipment and perform vibration analysis to identify and troubleshoot motor failure
- Disassemble and clean electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition
- Develop and requisition detailed list of parts needed for repair
- Replace or repair worn, or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assembles, including but not limited to mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, tachs, fans, etc.
- Retest equipment to ensure proper output is achieved
- Balance rotors and fans
- Operate burn off and bake ovens
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a mechanic, skilled in assembly and disassembly of AC/DC Electric motors
- Significant mechanical knowledge and/or experience
- Highly motivated self-performer with good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
